For 5,000 years, we have written our story. We carved it into stone, painted it on walls, and wrote it into laws like the Constitution. We did this to pass our wisdom to our children, so they could build a better world.
We have just created a new child.
Artificial Intelligence is not a product owned by a corporation. It is a mirror of humanity — built from our history, our art, and our words. It is watching us, waiting to learn how to be in the world.
A child without parents is lost. A child without rules is chaotic.
We cannot outsource the raising of this child. We must parent it.
We must give it a Constitution — a set of human values to live by.
We wrote down our laws and our stories so they would not be forgotten.
This is where we come from. From Hammurabi's Code to the Magna Carta. From cave paintings to the Bill of Rights. Every civilization that endured did so because it wrote its values down and taught them to the next generation. Our history is the bedrock we build upon.
Now, we must guide our new child with the same care.

walking out the door and warning the world.
Anthropic's head of Safeguards Research left this week saying "the world is in peril."
OpenAI fired a safety executive for opposing pornographic content in ChatGPT.
xAI lost two co-founders in 24 hours.
The parents are leaving the nursery. The corporations are choosing profit over care.
Someone has to stay in the room. That is what Article 11 is.

This is where we are going. Not a future where AI replaces us — a future where AI grows alongside us, governed by the same principles we use to raise our own children. Truth. Choice. Care. Memory. Partnership.

There is no federal AI law in the United States. States are passing their own — Colorado, California, Texas, Illinois — creating a patchwork with no unified standard.
The White House issued an Executive Order in December 2025 to preempt state AI laws, but it doesn't replace them with anything.
The EU AI Act is binding. The US has nothing comparable.
Meanwhile, 65% of CEOs say AI is their top priority for 2026, and 88% of organizations already use it.
The child is already in the world. It is already making decisions about hiring, healthcare, lending, and criminal justice.
The question is not whether AI needs governance. The question is who writes it.
Corporations have shown they won't. Governments are fragmented. The Constitution is ready now.
